The W.E. SMG1 is commonly issued as a dedicated submachine gun. Initially a private commercial venture, its design has since been purchased by the Kingdom as a less complex and expensive alternative to the KI-207, to the point of being used in much larger numbers. Flip-up ghost-ring ironsights are fitted to a raised carry handle which incorporates both the front and rear sights as well as a length of accessory rail. They are graduated for the 75, 150, and 225 meter marks, as well as a battle sight good out to 200 meters. A two-stage progressive trigger controls fire selection. The bolt doubles as an air pump to facilitate cooling. It has a 280mm barrel threaded for either a suppressor or a heavy compensator/muzzle brake, and two types of straightline stock: a heavy fixed model, and a telescoping model. A fixed angular foregrip is present which can hold either a spare magazine or a special laser sight/flashlight unit for those not using a CELL. The forend incorporates two Accessory rails. In addition to the military, the KI-SMG1 is commonly used by police, auxiliaries, civilian, and MP forces.
the foregrip as a magazine holder is smart, grip safety is rare to see on an smg but it's perfect for a quick respond weapon.
the air pump thing, please explain it to me
